About Zoë

Zoë Greenbaum is a photographer, director, writer, and visual artist based in Paris and London.

Her feature screenplay, Hanging Gardens of the Sea and Sky, a magical realist, musical comedy-drama was a TOP-10 finalist in Francis Ford Coppola's American Zoetrope Screenwriting Competition last year, as well as in The Nantucket Film Festival's Tony Cox Awards the year before.

Zoë's signature, not-so-short 2022 film, We Are Bleach - a vibrant, music-driven film about two pansexual punk rockers in Camden's rock-n-roll underground - has been a multi-awarded selection at over a dozen festivals across the US and Europe.

Please Be Kind (2024) is a jewel starring Astile Doherty and Neneh Kumar. And on a non-fiction front, Zoë is co-directing The Art of Change, a documentary on the impact of the arts in public education that is currently in pre-production.

When she is not making films, Zoë has a myriad of delightful occupations. As a singer-songwriter, she is releasing her first album, written in collaboration with the multi-awarded Ian Dench of EMF, in late 2024. And her graphic novel, Low Fidelity, on the foibles of dating in London, is currently in the works. A dedicated mentor to younger filmmakers, Zoë was the opening guest lecturer for 2023’s incoming class at London Screen Academy.
